D&C 45 - Between the Lines
"A desolating sickness, an overflowing scourge,
Upon His house calamities will start.
The salt will lose its savor, commotion's wave will surge
And comfort will elude man's failing heart."
To those who sit in darkness, a breaking light will shine--
An ensign to the Holy Savior's face.
And if there is perception, a radiance divine
Will guide His children to the holy place.
He is the Great Physician, the Healer of the ill
(The healthy need no doctor to attend).
So witness the beginning of Gentile time fulfilled:
It is the drunkard Ephraim He will mend.
To those who are offended, rejected from the fold
I hope you hear His voice with clarity:
"Your enemies have cursed you, but love will surely hold.
The path to me comes through your charity."
