Psalm Three
You heard me when we called, O God of my righteousness. You have enlarged our souls and enlightened our understanding. You made the fruit delicious to us and turned all sin into an abhorrence.
You turned our distress into a testimony, and our pain into a type, that they might look forward on the Son of God; that they might have a brightness of hope, and enter into the rest of the Lord.
O you sons of men, why will you not believe when I say, “O God, you have turned away your judgments because of your Son”? How can you read the scriptures and disbelieve on the Son of God? How can you not understand Her mercies which She has bestowed upon you because of Her Son? Why will you not accept her bounteous gifts?
The Lord will hear when we call unto Him for the sake of our people. His promises are immutable and will be fulfilled. Yet, O you Gentiles, we will walk with you, and we will bless you.
Let us offer up an open heart and a receiving spirit, and put our trust in the Lord.
He has poured gladness in our hearts with His Spirit. We know and bear record that He has visited with the manifestations of His Spirit, for it persuades men to do good. We have confidence when we hear Her say, "I love you."

The Psalms: 2
Psalm Two
I have set my King upon Zion's everlasting hills; and I will declare the decree, "The Lord has said to me, 'You are my son; this day I have begotten you.
'Ask of me, and I shall give you the Gentiles for your inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for your possession. Your people shall make the desolate cities to be inhabited.
'Do not fear, for you should not be ashamed; neither should you be confounded, for you will not be put to shame. For you, O Israel, will forget the shame and reproach of your youth; you will not remember the shame of your widowhood any more.
'You will break forth with a rod of iron, on the right hand and on the left; you will dash to pieces like a potter’s vessel crumbles; you will be as a lion among beasts of the forest who will tread down and tear into pieces, and none can deliver.'"
Therefore, you Gentile kings be wise; you priests be instructed. Remember your afflictions and be comforted. Fear only the punishment that comes of your own tongue and the bondage that comes at your own hands. Come unto Christ and lay hold upon every good gift, and touch not the evil gift, nor the unclean thing.
Go forth with all your might and cease not in your diligence, for blessed are all they that put their trust in Him; for the Lord works with his power in all cases among the children of men, extending the arm of mercy towards those who believe on his name.

The Psalms: 1
Psalm One
Happy and free is the person that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the way of fellowship with “sinners,” and sits not in the seat of the scornful and the Accuser;
Yet, when compelled, they will walk a mile with those who ask; they will pray for their enemies; and they will agree while they are in the way with their adversaries.
Their delight is in the new law of the Lord; and in His way do they pray always, and immerse themselves in meditation day and night.
And they shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, whose fruit is desirable to make one happy. They shall bring forth their white and delicious fruit in season; their leaves also shall not wither; and all things they do shall prosper.
They are free forever, for they act and are not acted upon. The works of the Father are shown forth in their exceeding faith and good works. And they are called with a holy calling, and prepared with a preparatory redemption.
For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, and His sheep hear His voice, which has been poured out to all that they may be proven and show forth their works.
Let us not scorn or dismiss our brethren, be they righteous or ungodly. If we do so, our faith and hope is vain, for none is acceptable before God, save the meek and lowly in heart; and if a man be meek and lowly in heart, and confesses by the power of the Holy Ghost that Jesus is the Christ, he must have charity; for if he has not charity he is nothing.
And charity suffers long, and is kind, and envies not, and is not puffed up, seeks not her own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil, and rejoices not in iniquity but rejoices in the truth, bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.

The Garden
There is another sky,
Ever serene and fair,
And there is another sunshine,
Though it be darkness here;
Never mind dots for counting,
Never mind fresh men scared -
Here is a little forest,
Whose leaf is ever green;
Here is a brighter garden,
Where not a frost has been;
In its unfading flowers
I hear the bright bee hum:
Prithee, my people,
Into my garden come!
Ever serene and fair,
And there is another sunshine,
Though it be darkness here;
Never mind dots for counting,
Never mind fresh men scared -
Here is a little forest,
Whose leaf is ever green;
Here is a brighter garden,
Where not a frost has been;
In its unfading flowers
I hear the bright bee hum:
Prithee, my people,
Into my garden come!

The Will of God
“How is it I shall do thy will?
It’s all a guessing game!”
“I now behold my will and thine
Are merging as the same.”
“I will submit to anything
Of me you shall desire!”
“An open heart and patience, child,
Are all that I require.”
“I’ll bend my knee obediently,
Please tell me what to do!”
“I’ll give you signs and open doors.
The rest is up to you.”
“Who AM I, Lord? What is my role?
That’s all I want to see!”
“The hope you have in ignorance
Is what shall make them free.”
It’s all a guessing game!”
“I now behold my will and thine
Are merging as the same.”
“I will submit to anything
Of me you shall desire!”
“An open heart and patience, child,
Are all that I require.”

The Millennials
FROM A MUSE
I watch the ripples change their size
But never leave the stream
Of warm impermanence and
So the days float through my eyes
But still the days seem the same.
FROM A SERVANT
I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:
If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of you.
If the casting away of Israel be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?
For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.
And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert grafted in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.
Be not highminded and lofty, but fear: For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again.
For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?
For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in,
Which even now is at the doorstep.
Be not lofty branches, lest you are blinded at the coming desolation.
FROM A MUSE
These children that we spit on
As they try to change their worlds
Are immune to our consultations
They're quite aware of what they're going through
FROM A SERVANT
O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God!
How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counselor?
Yet, the Children of God sing
And the children who have more abundantly hear and have charity for their fathers
And weep for Zion.
Their fruit is glowing white!
Lord, spare the vineyard a little longer.
I know you are desirous to trim the branches of the tree
And pluck the wild fruit which is ripened to cast into the fire
Lest the good branches perish.
If I perish with the wild fruit, Lord have mercy.
Until then, let us labor with all our might
To nourish the good fruit
And graft in the natural branches.
That the root and top of the tree may be equal
According to the strength thereof.
That we may preserve the good fruit
And have joy in the in its sweetness.
For this is according to the oath and covenant which belongs to our priesthood,
Which cannot be moved or broken.
We shall bring forth fruit meet for the Father’s Kingdom
And do many wonderful works,
And cast out the devils in His name,
And open the eyes of the blind and the ears of the deaf,
And allow the dumb to speak.
And when the rain descends
And the floods come
And the winds blow
And beat upon our house
It shall fall not, for it was founded upon the Rock.
I watch the ripples change their size
But never leave the stream
Of warm impermanence and
So the days float through my eyes
But still the days seem the same.

The Last Parable
The Servant or the Slave
What think ye?
Two men came to the Lord and said, "Master, what good thing shall we do, that we may have eternal life?" And he said unto them, "If thou wilt enter into life, keep all my commandments."
The first immediately went his way and sold all he had and gave to the poor. Every morning when he awoke he would get on his knees and cry, "Oh Lord, what wouldst thou have me do today? I will be obedient!"
And the Lord would appear to the man and reply, "I will tell you all things what ye should do as you walk along the path of the day and hold strong to my word."
Every night the first man would get on his knees and cry, "Oh Lord, my heart groaneth because of my sins this day! I am a wretched man and my heart sorroweth because of my flesh! My soul grieveth because of mine iniquities. I am encompassed about, because of the temptations and the sins which do so easily beset me. But I will forebear. It is a hard thing, but I will sacrifice and suffer to bear thy burdens. My heart weeps and my soul lingers in the valley of sorrow, and my strength slackens because of my afflictions, but I will not yield to sin. I will try not to be angry because of my enemy.
"Lift me, dear Lord, that on the morrow my soul might awake and droop no longer. Shut the gates of hell before me that I might conquer spiritual evil. Hedge up the way of my enemy, but clear my way before me and remove all stumbling blocks! Comfort me that my heart might rejoice and give place no more for the enemy of my soul. Let me be strict in the plain road and encircle me around in the robe of thy righteousness! Help me to be more obedient, that every step of the way I might follow thy light into thy presence, that I might have visions of thy glory and that by and by I might have rest from my labors! I will do thy will and enact thy direction. I will make no apologies for following thee or offer no compromise. Oh Lord, I pray that thou wilt end this night of darkness. This is my continual prayer. Amen."
And the Lord would often appear to the man in a dream, and say, "Blessed are ye because ye desire this thing of me; therefore, after that ye have served me all thy days, ye shall come unto me in my kingdom; and with me ye shall find rest."
..................................................................
The second immediately returned to his home, and in his closet cried mightily, saying, "O Lord, have mercy on me, a captive and a sinner! Snatch me out of the everlasting burning fires! Redeem me from my carnal and fallen state. I am lost and have no rod to hold! I am traveling in the dark and dreary waste. Have mercy on me, according to the multitude of thy tender mercies!"
And the Lord replied, through the voice of an angel, "If ye love me with all your might, mind and strength, then is my grace sufficient for you, that by my grace ye may be perfected in me."
And the second man heard and cried, "Lord, I believe. I will not deny thy power. My heart has been changed and I no more desire to do evil, but to do good until the end of my days. I no longer am consigned to an awful view of my own guilt. I remember my abominations no more!"
And then he went his way. The family and friends of the second man noticed a change in him, and when they inquired, he published to all the people, "Behold, I am born of the Spirit! I have been redeemed of the Lord and have become a child of Christ. I am a new creature. An angel hath appeared to me and has declared the doctrine of the Lord."
One day, the second man cried in prayer and said, "Oh Lord, thou hast promised with an immutable covenant that thou would hear the prayers of my fathers, for they sit in prison and canst perform no labor for themselves. What wouldst thou have me do, that their thirst would be quenched?"
And the Lord said, through the voice of an angel, "If thy fathers will enter into life, thou must repent and come unto me."
And the man said, "I have done this ever since the day thou declared to me that thy grace was sufficient. What would thou now have me DO? In what manner should I perform?"
And the Lord did not respond. He did not comfort him or bring the man into his presence.
And it came to pass that after many days, the man stopped looking for signs and wonders to guide him, but did straightway begin to put his trust in the true and living God and to serve others anxiously; not for a hope of a reward, nor out of fear of being punished; but because he loved them and desired with all his heart that they would have joy. Yea, he began to sing the song of redeeming love and to freely partake of that fruit which is most desirable and most precious; which is sweet above all that is sweet, and which is white above all that is white, yea, and pure above all that is pure.
And it came to pass that an angel came to the man and said, "Thus saith the Lord: Who am I, that have promised and have not fulfilled? I command and men obey not; I revoke and they receive not the blessing. Then they say in their hearts: This is not the work of the Lord, for his promises are not fulfilled."
And the angel continued, "Thus saith the Lord of Hosts: I have given unto thee and unto thy fathers weakness, that you may be humble; and that you may have charity for your fathers, and for the remnant of the seed of Joseph, and for the Jews. Thou hast been faithful and have humbled yourselves before me; wherefore thy garments shall be made clean. And because thou hast seen thy weakness, thou shalt be made strong, even unto the sitting down in the place which I have prepared in the mansions of my Father. Your names shall be written in the book of life, and unto you will I grant an inheritance at my right hand."
And the angel said to the man, "Verily I say unto you, the power is now in you, and hast always been in you, wherein thou art an agent unto thyself and can do many things of thine own free will, and bring to pass much goodness, and bringeth unto me—the fountain of all righteousness! For I, the Lord, will judge all men according to their works, according to the desire of their hearts.
"Thy prayers and the prayers of thy fathers have entered into the ears of the Lord of the Sabaoth, and they shall be granted: all things wherewith you have been afflicted and your fathers have been afflicted shall work together for your good, and to my name's glory, and to the fulfilling of my covenants. For after much tribulation come the blessings but thou need not be afflicted. Wherefore the day cometh that ye shall be crowned with much glory; the hour is not yet, but is nigh at hand. Thus, the Lord has said it, and thus it is. Amen."
.......................................................
Therefore, what think ye? Which one of these two men was a true servant and a vessel of the Lord?
What think ye?

The Hope
'Hope' is the thing with feathers—
That perches in the soul—
And sings the tune without the words—
And never stops—at all—
And sweetest—in the Gale—is heard—
And sore must be the storm—
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm—
I've heard it in the chillest land—
And on the strangest Sea—
Yet, never, in Extremity,
It asked a crumb—of Me.
But now to "Hope" the Others cling—
All praying it is true:
Fruition's psalm will finally sing
The hope I see—in You.

The Human Race
"Put the blood upon your door!"
"How can a simple act of gore
Repel the dark and draw the light?
No lamb chops for my meal tonight!"
"Look to the serpent on the staff!"
"That silly snake? Don't make me laugh!
It's bad enough he gave the sting.
Gazing it won't do a thing!"
"Show your faith and make the plunge!"
"What do you think I am, a sponge?
It makes no sense to so restate
The act I did when I was eight!"
------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------
"Quench my thirst and dim my eyes!"
"I will be slow to hear your cries.
All you had to do was look
And then your name would ink the book.
"How could I know of your desire
To keep from burning in the fire?
I sent my word, you made no sign.
You ate no bread, you drank no wine.
"So now your hope lies in the few
That someday might remember you.
Call their names while they are free.
Perhaps they'll show YOU charity."
------------------------------------------
Another path has now been shown.
The hearts of all mankind are known.
Convincing them that what they see
Will save them all and make them free.
We take this journey as a race
Of human kind to see God's face.
So let us walk it hands combined
And heal the deaf, the maim, and blind.
His love is free, there is no price,
No pound of flesh, no sacrifice.
All He needs is our belief
To heal our race and give relief!

The Change
Nine children, beautiful in form and face,
Came from their houses on the shining heights
Of Melek, the mountain of delights,
To dwell among the people at its base.
Then seemed the world to change. All time and space,
Splendor of cloudless days and starry nights,
And men and manners, and all sounds and sights,
Had a new meaning, a diviner grace.
Proud were these children, but were not too proud
To teach the nations, and little country towns
Science and song, and all the arts that please;
So that while housewives span, and farmers ploughed,
Their comely clan, dressed in homespun gowns,
Learned the sweet songs of the Melekes.
Came from their houses on the shining heights
Of Melek, the mountain of delights,
To dwell among the people at its base.
Then seemed the world to change. All time and space,
Splendor of cloudless days and starry nights,
And men and manners, and all sounds and sights,

To teach the nations, and little country towns

Their comely clan, dressed in homespun gowns,
Learned the sweet songs of the Melekes.

The Reunion
"Welcome to the real world", she said to me
Condescendingly
Take a seat
Take your life
Count the dots in black and white
Well I never lived the dreams of the prom kings
And the drama queens
I'd like to think the best of me
Is still hiding
Up my sleeve
They love to tell you
Stay inside the lines
But something's better
On the other side
I wanna run through the halls of my high school
I wanna scream at the
Top of my lungs
I just found out there's no such thing as the real world
Just a lie you've got to rise above
So the good boys and girls take the so called right track
Faded white hats
Grabbing credits
Making transfers
They read all the books but they can't find the answers
And all of our parents
They've gotten wiser
I know that they've wished for something better
And in their memories
Many tragedies
They had it written:
"Stay inside the lines."
But there's a problem
On the other side
I wanna run through the halls of my high school
I wanna scream at the
Top of my lungs
I just found out there's no such thing as the real world
Just a lie you got to rise above
I am invincible
As long as I'm alive
I wanna run through the halls of my high school
I wanna scream at the
Top of my lungs
Now I know there's no such thing as the real world
Just a lie we've got to rise above
I just can't wait til my 10 year reunion
I'm gonna bust down the double doors
And when I stand on these tables before you
You will know what all this time was for
